I'm not a big fan of Spiderman series but I have never missed the last two. This would be a good watch for me sometime. thanks for the review.

I didn't particularly like the gooshy love story, but I suppose Spiderman needs love too.

This was my favorite yet, the black suit was great and some really impressive action scenes. I heard they are going to be starting work on #4 quite soon too, can't wait.

@Benedict, well, you watch one, you have to watch the rest... you know what it is like

@Ronald, that is one thing I hate as well, I go for everything but the stupid love story

@Adel, this was indeed the best of the tree when you consider special effects. I heard on the news or some show that Tobey is being pricey about more Spiderman movies.

If the great Ajay rates it 7.5/10, it's definitely worth a watch.

    Damn Chickenpox Damn.... ahrrr...

I disagree with Ajay. From a purely comic book fan point of view the movie sucked big time. If you have read enough of the Spidey comics, you will get what I mean. As far as the movie goes way too many plot holes in the movie, like how intially Peter Parker can take off his black suit and afterwards it simply refuses to come off. Also Peter's professor comes in for about 3 scenes, in two of which he repeatedly tells Peter that the suit is dangerous...never quite explaining why. Or the fact that Harry Osborne is alive after a pumpkin bomb blast near his face, when the same bomb almost blows up a giant sandman's face...
The plot inconsistencies, dead ends and lame story in between the fight scenes is what made this movie suck for me....the fight sequences are spot one...some of the best in recent times. But it's the rest of the movie that kills it, it's like they have just tried to do too much in the movie.
What I really liked of the earlier spidey movies is that they remained very true to their source material, the comic book spiderman...that's something that's missing here....still i'd give it a 5/10 just for the action scenes.

I am hoping to catch the movie this week. But, I am not going in with too much expectation as most of the reviews haven't been very good.
  • Ajay · 2 years ago
Well, you got to watch it only for the action scenes. All the spiderman stories sucked anyway

I hope so, but here in Mangalore nobody is interested in those kinds of movies.

Well, I think Spiderman 2 wasn't just action. I mean, I love that movie and I've seen it 8 times already. I love the humor and all that.

And, ok, I admit it. I'm a spiderman fan and I've been reading spiderman comics for a while.

I saw Spiderman 3 !! Wow. One of the best movies I've seen in a long time. They rocked the sentiments at the last part with Sandman and Harry. I think its worth upto 3 watches.
